Women’s Human Rights and Empowerment trainings

Women’s Human Rights and Empowerment trainings in Regions 1, 2 and 5 in Thailand and Region 4 in India

There are a large number of new BWU members in each of BWU’s regions, where our grassroots members are located. We have received strong requests from the regional leaders to organize some basic knowledge trainings for the new members to have experience to continue and work effectively in the organizational life and processes. For that, with enough consultation with regional leaders and new members themselves, we decided to provide Women Human Rights and Empowerment Trainings in BWU region (1) Mae Lar Oo camp, near Mae Searing, region (2) in Karenni refugee camp, near Mae Hong Son, region (4) in Churachanphu, India and region (5) Mae La (Bakalaw) refugee camp, near Mae Sot. With these trainings, we hope to provide gender sensitive mindset to the women for long-term purposes. We want the women to understand their fundamental rights as human being and a woman. We want them to know that they are important for the changing of the society.

To build a sustainable strong social system and a peaceful society requires the participation of all human resources within the society.
