Women Political Empowerment Training

The BWU believes that an increase in the number of women participating in the various sectors will lay the foundation of equality that is necessary for long-term peace. For abovementioned situation, it is clear that the women need to be supported in order to build their capacities so that they can participate actively in the women’s rights struggle and pro-democracy movement (with a long-term focus of building a network of skilled women that can actively participate in a future democratic Burma). Consequently, BWU is planning a 6-month ‘Young Women Political Empowerment Intensive Course’ to further the participation of women in various decision-making structures within the democracy movement.

Librarry Programs

To empower migrant women population to gain knowledge and understanding on issues such as women's rights, labor rights and human rights by providing space and reading materials and services.

Internship Programs

As a long-term objective, the BWU would like to invest in the future of young Burmese women and girls by arranging programs that help realize their capabilities.
