3. Holding commemorative events in three regions

The BWU members in Ma Lar Oo, Noe Pa-a and Mae La will continue to mobilize among themselves and hold commemorative events on important days such as International Women’s Day, International Mothers Day, International Day to End Violence Against Women, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s Birthday, and “8888”. The BWU regions will invite alliance organizations in the camps such as KWO, KNOW, PWU, KYO, NLD-LA, ABSDF, NDD, KNU, KRC, and camp-working committees to participate in the events. By holding such events, the BWU hopes to continue raising awareness among the communities in the refugee camps regarding the respective days’ background, history, and the reason for the events and build solidarity with the alliance organizations.

To build a sustainable strong social system and a peaceful society requires the participation of all human resources within the society.
