4. First Executive Committee Meeting

BWU 1^st EC meeting was held just after the fifth congress between 4 and 5 in October. In the meeting, newly elected 9 members of executive committee members attended the meeting. In the meeting, have divided work responsibilities, informed the information and activities that have been done and to be continued in the future and laid down future work plan based on the policy decided in the congress. In the meeting, BWU has decided to continue working on their existing programs on library, centers, internship, Dove publication, office administration, systematic documentation, campaign on domestic violence and sexual harassment, and as a new initiative, BWU has planned to work toward the establishment of strong women movement inside Burma by conducting trainings, disseminating information etc... According to the political situation in Burma, BWU will work on different issues such as letter campaign, phone campaign, email campaign, white ribbon campaign and other political events individually and coordinate with other political parties and organizations. BWU will work together with the women inside Burma for political changed and BWU will continuous working on sexual harassment and domestic violence by conducting series of training along Thai-Burma border etc…
